Dear Family,
I repeat here with renewed focus what I shared last week: our diocesan journey of renewal, Remade for Mission, is now underway. I invite you to be part of this season of listening, reϐlection, and hope. Together, we’re building a strong future—one shaped by faith and the real needs of our communities.
Meet Our Facilitators:
We’re thankful for Kathleen Sheehan and Steve Nicholson. They will help guide our conversations. With their support as facilitators, we’ll think about where we are now, where God is calling us, and how we can move forward together.
Creating Our Working Group:
Each parish is choosing parishioners to join a working group. This group will help create a plan that supports our
mission and future. We’re looking for people who are prayerful, honest, and ready to serve. If you know someone who ϐits this, please contact me this week. I’ve already received a few names—let’s keep praying as we form this team.
Monthly Topics for Discussion:
- From October to March, we’ll focus on different parts of parish life:
- October: Foundation & Vision – How are we living the Church’s mission? What are our strengths and
challenges? - November: Finances – Are our resources strong enough? What changes might help us grow?
- December: Buildings – How do our buildings support our mission? What repairs or changes are needed
- January: Outreach & Evangelization – How can we reach more people and share our faith more deeply
- February: Clergy & Leadership – How can we support our priests and share leadership in smart ways?
- March: Final Recommendation – After listening and planning, the working group will prepare me a proposal. I
will then prepare our ϐinal recommendation to the Bishop, which is due by April 1, 2026.
Listening Sessions – We Want to Hear from You:
Please come to one of our upcoming Listening Sessions. Here are the two sessions in October on Foundation & Vision:
- Saturday, October 25 · 9:00–11:00 AM · Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Center
- Tuesday, October 28 · 6:00–8:00 PM · St. Adalbert Parish Center
- Everyone is welcome. Whether you have questions, ideas, or concerns, your voice matters.
Let us walk together in faith, trusting the Holy Spirit to renew our hearts, minds, and mission.
God’s peace,
Fr. Frisoni
